Personal Injury Law

Thanks to the proliferation of commercials on late night television, many people think of personal injury law in terms of car crashes and advertising jingles. A personal injury law practice, though, is so much more than that. It’s serious and important work involving the recovery of compensation for people who are the victims of another person’s intentional, reckless, or negligent behavior.

In the rare case it may be easy to see who the wrongdoer is, who the victims are, and the amount of compensation that should fairly be paid, but the vast majority of cases are more complicated. In some cases the injured person is not the only victim. Family members who were not even involved in the accident may also be entitled to compensation for their losses. In other cases, the identity of the wrongdoer is not always clear and identifying others who might also be responsible may be critical to recovering all just compensation. And in practically every case, the type and amount of compensation is an important question.

Our attorneys are, of course, experienced in representing victims of automobile crashes, dog bites, slip-and-fall, and other “premises liability” cases, but we’ve also successfully represented numerous clients in serious cases involving catastrophic injuries, paralysis and even death, recovering for them and their families millions of dollars in compensation.  We know the difference between special, compensatory and punitive damages and what it takes to establish a client’s right to them. If you or someone you know is the victim of another’s negligent or reckless conduct, one of our personal injury lawyers would be pleased to speak with you.
